The project Effortless resistance is an exploration of the concepts of balance and gravity, expressed through contrasts between matter and idea. Within the framework of a creative scholarship granted by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, three abstract sculptures were created, made of plaster, plastics, glass, and coal, inspired by the theory of Lagrange points — positions of equilibrium in a gravitational system. The sculptural objects correspond to three different physical states associated with equilibrium in a system of celestial bodies, defined as: Instability (L1), Stability (L4/L5), and Fragile balance (L2). The project examines the tensions between technology and the natural world, presenting balance as an ambiguous process: sometimes subtle and imperceptible, at other times requiring constant adjustment. The result is a reflection on a reality full of tension and contradictions. An additional reference to the contemporary world is found in the contrast of the chosen materials: plaster, symbolizing nature and durability, and plastic, representing industry and synthetic production.
